EOS Magazine

Overview:

During my first internship, I took ownership of designing a feature spread for the nonprofit’s quarterly magazine, EOS, in the Oct 2021 issue. From conception to completion, I curated photos, drafted proofs, refined feedback, and prepared final files for print production.

Polar lows, also known as "arctic hurricanes", form over ocean waters during cold air outbreaks. I kept the design elements simple, echoing the unique material nature of these small cyclones. -Emphasizing their atmospheric qualities with a smoky texture effect, the plain white background became an opportunity to add more depth to the pages, expanding the white space like these visually striking events occurring on an expansive white blanket of endless snow.
